The Verandahs, Terrara House Estate
‘A Historic Country Wedding Venue with Timeless Elegance.’
Terrara House Estate is undoubtedly in my top 5 favourite wedding venues. It is one of the most beautiful places I have had the pleasure to photograph, and is the perfect setting for a vintage style wedding.
I am again visiting the Terrara House property tomorrow for the third time, and I can’t wait to be able to experience the beauty through my camera, for another gorgeous wedding celebration.
As you enter the traditional iron gates, amidst the gorgeous sandstone walls, you are immediately in awe of the breathtaking estate within. My first view of Terrara House Estate left me speechless, and I suddenly felt so moved to be a part of a wedding in such amazing surroundings.
I made my way to ‘The Stables’ – two historic stables which have been renovated to encompass onsite accommodation, sleeping four in each property. They are set among gorgeous gardens, perfectly kept, and the most amazing smell as you step out of the car. I was lucky enough to have the privileged to stay in The Stables for one of the weddings I attended. The interior is grand, and has a classic vintage feel that matches the gardens surrounds.
My next stop was the luxurious Terrara House Bridal Salon and Day Spa, also one of the great benefits of the location. Here is where the bride and her bridesmaids can enjoy pampering, and beauty treatments, before your bridal makeover, and even includes your own personal Butler who serves you High Tea prepared by the resident chef. Something all brides should experience on their wedding day. The grandeur of the Bridal Salon with opulent full length mirrors, antique furniture and chandeliers, created a wonderful fairytale feel; and any bride will feel every bit a gorgeous princess.
Terrara House Estate allows you to design your own ceremony, by choosing a location in which to say I do. From the rose gardens to the 150 year old Morton Bay Figs, every piece of this site is a photographers dream.
Guests can enjoy champagne and canapés in celebration, while you and your wedding party explore the magestic grounds around the manor, as you capture everlasting moments with your photographer by your side. The beauty that lies within the gates at Terrara House Estate provide a gorgeous classic country backdrop to a wedding of endless beauty.
On to the reception under the marquee, surrounded by nature, pure and elegant. All the finishing touches are meticulously set on each of the tables. Softly styled seating, bespoke floral arrangements, will bring together a warm, inviting and unforgettable atmosphere. Insert the simplistically designed vintage wedding cake in the middle; delicate paper lanterns and fairy lights above; oversized chess boards and cheekiness below.
Terrara House Estate ensures everlasting memories, and a sweetness that will not fade, in the years that follow, your big day.
